LÖSANTE Technical Visit

During the technical visit to LÖSANTE Hospital, one of Turkey’s few comprehensive oncology hospitals established for leukemia patients in Ankara, participants received information about modern hospital management systems, the clinical use of biomedical devices, and patient safety processes.

The hospital’s social responsibility approach and foundation-supported healthcare service structure were also introduced.

Technical Tour of UNAM (National Nanotechnology Research Center)

UNAM, part of Bilkent University, is one of Turkey’s most advanced nanotechnology and biomedical research centers. During the technical tour, participants had the opportunity to receive detailed presentations and field observations on nanomaterial production techniques, biosensor development processes, microfabrication systems, and advanced laboratory infrastructure.

Direct interaction with researchers also provided an inspiring experience regarding academic and industrial research opportunities.

Technical Visit to Boston Scientific Türkiye

On Wednesday, July 2nd, IEEE Turkey EMBS organized a technical visit to the Boston Scientific Türkiye office in Istanbul.

This event allowed student participants to gain firsthand insight into the corporate and clinical aspects of the medical device industry. Throughout the day, they attended informative sessions covering topics such as Human Resources and CV preparation, Commercial Excellence, Quality systems, Business Support, and Peripheral Interventions. The program concluded with an interactive Urology workshop.

In addition to the sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore the office environment, meet professionals from various departments, and observe Boston Scientific’s innovative approach in action.
This technical visit served as an inspiring and eye-opening experience for all student attendees.
